Rodriquez Key to Marathon

We left Rodriquez key at 8am for what proved to be one of my favorite sails of the whole trip. A steady 10-12 kt breeze just forward of beam with 1-2 ft seas on the rear quarter. With full sails up, a steady 5 kts with occasional speeds up to seven. We sailed along seeing only a haft a dozen crab pots the entire way. A easy tilt, and even easier sail made for a perfect day. Only the last 2 hrs saw speeds under 5kts. Pulled into the outside anchorage in marathon around 1715, dropped anchor in 8 ft of water and enjoyed the rest of the evening. Scattered storms overnight kept our attention but still a beautiful day for a sail.

Tomorrow Key West, home for the season.
